Wine

Yabby Lake Vineyard Block 1 Pinot Noir is sourced from a unique patch of vines at the winery's Tuerong Mornington Peninsula vineyard. All the fruit is MV6 clone Pinot Noir.

The grapes are all handpicked and hand sorted. Most are gently destemmed into a traditional open fermenter. Around a quarter are included as whole bunches. Fermentation begins after 3-4 days of soaking.

The wine spends two weeks on skins, then is pressed into tight grained French oak puncheons for malolactic fermentation and ageing. It is bottled after one year in oak.

Red purple, Yabby Lake Vineyard Block 1 Pinot Noir has plush fruit flavours structured by supple tannins, silky texture and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
